Jounce Bumper (also known as Bump Stop, Bump Rubber, Rubber Buffer or Strut Bumper) is an elastic component typically made of high-elasticity polyurethane (MDI or NDI). Installed in the suspension damper of off-road vehicles (SUV, pickups, and race cars), and motorcycles or motorsports.

Functions

· Provides progressive stiffness during significant suspension compression, preventing metal-to-metal contact and protecting the shock absorber and frame.

· Absorbs high-impact energy, adapting to extreme conditions such as jumps and rough terrain.

· For motorcycles, the bump stop also serves as a rear suspension end-stop and reduces chain impact (depending on specific design).

Temperature Range -40°C to +100°C (suitable for high-temperature desert and low-temperature snow environments).

Service Life Under standard off-road operating conditions, the design life is no less than 5 years or 80,000 km (for motorcycles: no less than 3 years or 30,000 km), without cracking, extrusion, or significant permanent deformation.
