1. Steering tie rod basic structure
The complete set of steering tie rods is divided into 3 core components, which are key components for chassis steering and suspension linkage.:
Tie rod ( Track Bar / thrust rod)
A must-have for integral axle models, it restrains the left and right displacement of the rear axle and prevents the rear end from swinging left and right when sand washing at high speeds in the desert or heavy-load towing.; The original thin tie rod is easily deformed due to bumps, so we modified it to a thicker and solid reinforced version.
Steering tie rod assembly (Tie Rod)
Connects the left and right steering knuckles to control the wheel steering angle, including inner tie rods and outer tie rod ball heads; The fine sand in the desert can easily wear off the ball head dust cover, causing looseness and deviation.
control swing arm + drop bar
Carrying the up and down stroke of the wheel, working together with the buffer block and shock absorption, the impact force of the landing will directly act on the tie rod bushing and ball head.
2. Common damage problems of tie rods under desert off-road conditions
Sand erosion: The fine desert sand penetrates the dust cover of the ball head and enlarges the ball head gap, causing the vehicle to deviate at high speed and turn into a false position. ;
Impact deformation: After landing on a flying slope or hitting a sand ridge, the original thin-walled tie rods were bent and the four-wheel alignment data was confused. ;
Bushing tear: The original rubber bushing is subject to repeated heavy load extrusion, high temperature aging, and towing + It is easy to crack under dual off-road conditions and the chassis becomes loose and fluttery.;
Raised car geometric misalignment: The vehicle is raised more than 2 inches, the length of the original tie rods does not match, the steering limit is limited, and the tires are worn.

3. American pickup truck / Japanese hardcore SUV Tie rod modification and upgrade plan
Compatible models include
American pickup truck: Ford F Series, Chevrolet Silverado, Dodge Ram, Toyota Tacoma, Hilux
Japanese / European hardcore SUV: Land Cruiser, Prado, Jeep Wrangler, Nissan Patrol
Modification accessories selection
Reinforced and lengthened adjustable steering rod / thrust rod
Specially designed for elevated models, with adjustable length and revised chassis geometry after elevation, suitable for desert sand washing and long-distance towing with heavy loads.; Solid thickened steel pipe, resistant to impact and deformation.
polyurethane PU bushing kit
Replace the original rubber bushing, hardness 90 A, Anti-compression, resistant to mud and sand, eliminates chassis looseness, and matches PU Complete set of buffer block upgrades.
Thickened dustproof ball head assembly
The double-layer rubber dust cover isolates the fine desert sand, extends the service life of the ball head, and reduces the frequency of after-sales replacement by end customers.
Reinforced swing arm lower link
Selected by heavy-duty towing and climbing enthusiasts, equipped with external nitrogen shock absorption and extension PU Buffer blocks are sold in sets.
