Jounce Bumper (also known as Bump Stop, Bump Rubber, Rubber Buffer or Strut Bumper) is an elastic component typically made of high-elasticity polyurethane (MDI/NDI), installed on the piston rod of a shock absorber to provide progressive auxiliary stiffness at the end of the suspension compression stroke.

Functions

· Provides auxiliary stiffness at end of compression stroke, limits travel, prevents bottoming out.

· Absorbs impact energy, reduces noise and load from metal-to-metal contact.

· Improves ride comfort under large impacts.

Temperature Range-40°C to +90°C (meets standard passenger car requirements; material can be adjusted for special conditions).

Service LifeDesign life ≥80,000 km or 2 years under normal use – no cracking, excessive permanent deformation, or stiffness loss.

· Quality Standard: IATF 16949. Inspects static stiffness curve, compression set, hardness, appearance.

· Warranty: Typically 1–2 years or 50,000–100,000 km.
