Steel Shim (also called Valve Shim, Shock Shim), installed inside the shock absorber piston assembly, positioned in the piston valve system or base valve system, working in conjunction with valve seats, springs, and orifice passages, made from Sandvik 20C,SK4/SK5, C100S, 65Mn,45#,Stainless,etc.
Functions
During the compression and rebound strokes of the shock absorber, the valve shim opens or closes as the oil flows, regulating the flow rate of oil through the orifice passages, thereby generating the required damping force. By stacking valve shims of different thicknesses, diameters, and combinations, precise tuning of damping characteristics can be achieved.
Service Life
Under normal operating conditions, typically no less than 100,000 km or 5 years).
Quality Warranty & Standards
Development and production follow the IATF 16949 quality management system.
Warranty Information: 1‑year or 100,000 km warranty (whichever comes first) is provided, covering material and manufacturing defects.
Customization (Samples or Drawings Accepted)
Custom development supported based on customer‑provided samples or drawings. Capable of producing different outer diameters(4mm~60mm), inner diameters(0~50mm), thicknesses (0.1 mm~1.0 mm). Full‑process service from material selection and heat treatment to mass production is offered, with validation support according to damping tuning requirements.
